LATOUR & WIKLINSKI FOR NORTHERN VALLEY REGIONAL BOARD OF EDUCATION
This November it’s time to put the people who fight for you in the proper positions of power. Michele Latour & Stephen Wiklinski are those people. We will stand up and stand firm for our rights as parents and residents of Old Tappan. We will never back down and never give up. I hope we will have your support!

Meet
Michele LaTour
I am Michele LaTour, and I am a life-long resident of Northern Valley and a graduate of NVOT. I have two school-aged boys, a home-schooled first grader and a freshman at NVOT. Along with my husband, we live in an 1800’s farmhouse which we gut renovated and brought back to life in 2017. It sits on a large piece of land, perfect for our chickens, ducks, bees, bunny, and border collie. I am blessed to work from home which enables me to most importantly be a hands-on mom. Old Tappan has given us the perfect family-friendly environment to raise our children and it is important to give back.
Currently, I am the Old Tappan representative on the Northern Valley Regional Highschool Board of Education, I am the chair of the Old Tappan Town Day Committee, the Secretary for Moms For Liberty Bergen County and the founder and leader of the After-School Bible Club at TBD Elementary School in Old Tappan.
Our kids are our biggest legacy, and I dedicate my time and my life to providing a foundation for their future. As your school board representative, I kept all the promises I made by:
• Eliminating inappropriate books from the approved reading list
• Enforcing rigger and discipline into the annual school budget
• Implementing an Opt Out program notifying parents of their legal right to opt their child out of the NJ Sex Education curriculum
• Removing Critical Race Theory from the district goals
• Making all board meetings available via live stream for those citizens who cannot attend in person
• Creating a flag policy permitting just the American flag and the NJ State flag to be hung on, in or above school grounds. We are divided enough, let’s be united under the red, white and blue.
Meet
Dr. Stephen Wiklinski
My name is Dr. Stephen Wiklinski. I have resided in the town of Old Tappan for nearly thirty years. My family history in this town dates back to 1941. As a child, visiting my maternal grandparents, my siblings and I referred to our visits here as, “going to the country to visit Nana and Pop Pop”.
Though no longer the quiet, country town of my youth, I feel incredibly fortunate to live, along with my wife Edyta, my sons Stefan and Konrad, and our dog Lola, in the Borough of Old Tappan. I have been a practicing Chiropractic Physician in New Jersey and New York for more than twenty-five years, and maintain a chiropractic practice right here in town.
Being an active member of our town has always been important to me. Until it disbanded some years ago, I was a decades long member of the Old Tappan Lions Club. I am also a current, and long- standing member of the Old Tappan Board of Health.
My son Stefan is currently a Sophomore at NVOT. Konrad is a seventh grader at Charles DeWolf Middle School. The Borough of Old Tappan enjoys a long track record of academic excellence throughout its school system. It has been a significant reason for the influx of new residents to the town. I have decided to seek a more active role in contributing to the continuance of providing an excellent high school education to the children of our community. I humbly ask for your support, as I seek the position as a member of the Northern Valley Regional Board of Education.
If successful, I look forward to contributing my time, talent and expertise in an effort to assist the Board towards providing this essential benefit to our children.
It is my opinion that the Northern Valley Regional Board of Education should make every effort to assist the faculty and staff in providing the following;
1. A safe learning environment for every student.
2. A core curriculum with adequate breadth and depth to prepare our students who seek higher
education.
3. Opportunities to creatively explore and develop unique interests and abilities in the areas of
academia, extracurricular and sport.
4. Freedom to develop, through critical thought, a strong sense of self, and self confidence.
I thank you for your kind consideration.
Sincerely,
Dr. Stephen Wiklinski
